The AECC (Anglo-European College of Chiropractic) is getting into the festive spirit by hosting its very own Christmas Fair on Saturday 8th December. Starting at 2.30pm in the sports hall of the Parkwood Road campus, visitors can expect a variety of different stalls, selling everything from jewellery and confectionary to arts and crafts. With so much on offer, you’re bound to find something to lighten the Christmas shopping load!
Situated just off Christchurch Road, the AECC Christmas Fair will also be serving a complimentary mulled wine and mince pie on arrival, with a visit from Father Christmas and games for the children. Entry is free, with stall holders’ fees going to Friends of the Clinic, a charity that helps to support and fund the AECC’s state-of-the-art chiropractic teaching clinic. Volunteer of the charity, Judy Hallpike, commented: “We’re very excited to be hosting such an event at the college. Friends of the Clinic is always looking at different ways to raise money for the clinic while having lots of fun in the process, and the Christmas Fair will be a great way of doing just that.”
By organising such fundraising events throughout the year, Friends of the Clinic has been able to raise enough money to buy several items of exercise equipment for the modern rehabilitation and exercise centre, as well as various items of paediatric equipment and digital blood pressure kits for use by the clinic interns. It has also donated a substantial amount towards neurological equipment.
