Academic Support
If you think you are eligible to be granted an extension or you have a circumstance mitigating you from submitting a work within a deadline or from being present during an examination, please refer to the appropriate forms.
You can also contact our Student Services team who will be able to provide you with various means of academic support. They can direct you to our Study Skills tutor who can help you develop your academic skills for both written work and presentations. We also have an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) lecturer on campus to help those of you whose first language isn’t English and may need help to improve it to a higher level.

Student Representation & Voice
At AECC University College we welcome student input on all levels.
If you wish to represent the student body at AECC University College then running for a position on the Students’ Union is a great opportunity to do this. Alternatively, you can become a Course Rep which involves going to committee meetings and feeding back the voice of the students on your course. Each cohort can have two representatives – to put yourself forward please email suvpeducation@aecc.ac.uk
You can have your voice heard through your course rep, the Students’ Union or through the regular student voice workshops.

Each year, some 60 Podiatrists, both qualified and pre-registration students from all over the UK, descend on the capital to volunteer for the TCS London Marathon. This year, our first cohort of AECC University College MSc Podiatry (pre-registration) students, along with Associate Professor in Podiatry and Course Leader, Simon Otter, joined peers from the Universities of Brighton, Northampton, and East London. The co-location developed a true multidisciplinary ethos and close working relationships with physiotherapists, nurses, paramedics, physicians, and the voluntary sector (via St John Ambulance) as part of the wider finish-line medical team.
This year, Chiropractic Awareness Week (CAW), 22nd-28th April, is all about raising awareness and speaking up for the chiropractic profession, to build understanding and recognition about the value and expertise that chiropractors bring to their local communities. This year’s theme is ‘Making Chiropractic Integral: Building connections and nurturing a community with the people and places that matter to you.’
On Wednesday 24th April, we held our first AECC University College ‘Staff vs. Students Sports Day’! It took place on Boscombe Beach, and what a great afternoon it was! Staff and students took part in sporting games, including tug of war, sprinting, the three-legged race, and dodgeball.
On Thursday 23rd May 2024, AECC University College will be inviting students, staff, alumni and members of the public to attend an evening lecture by Professor Richard Brown.
