Introducing Dr Neil Langridge
We are pleased to announce that Dr Neil Langridge will be joining AECC University College as Director of Clinical & Rehabilitation Services.
Neil is joining us from Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust where he is a Consultant Physiotherapist and Clinical lead of MSK Services. He presently continues with a number of first contact, triage and complex patient clinics whilst being highly involved in professional governance, leadership and education. Neil has a background working for the MOD and has worked in the NHS for 25 years.
He is a Fellow of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), and a Visiting Fellow of the University of Winchester. He has been the Research Officer, Vice Chair and is currently Education Lead of the MACP, and is President of APPN (Advanced Practice Physiotherapy Network). He holds an MSc and Clinical Doctorate and has provided education across 6 UK universities, 7 counties and delivered keynote speeches at a number of international conferences. He has published in peer reviewed journals, and written book chapters whilst leading on national projects for Health Education England. Neil’s published work includes clinical reasoning, low back pain and complexity.
Neil joins us at an exciting stage in the development of our Integrated Rehabilitation Centre (IRC) programme of work. The building and refurbishment project has made good progress, and is anticipated to be complete by September 2022. We therefore now need to give focused attention to the development of our patient services, so that we have these established to fully utilise our existing and new clinical facilities.
We look forward to welcoming Neil on the 4th January 2022, where he will play a key role in the AECC University College achieving its objectives.
