What can I expect?
Get ready for a warm welcome from all our staff at AECC University College and prepare to join our health sciences community. Starting university may seem daunting at first, but we provide academic and social support to guide you through this exciting chapter of your life.
The University College is committed to excellence in teaching, providing you with the best learning environments and materials for your chosen course. The emphasis this year is premium on presence. We aim to hold smaller practical classes and seminars on-campus so that you have a greater opportunity to learn, question and discuss topics with staff.
From October, our lectures will be online and asynchronous giving you more choice on when you study. You will also have the ability to repeatedly view lecture content, which is especially helpful for students balancing busy lives, work and study.
Your learning will be supported by additional content on the VLE and consolidated during on-campus seminars. Electronic submission of assignments using Turnitin will make it easier to submit work and receive timely feedback. Where appropriate, exams will be in person.
NEW!! We've now published information on how the campus will operate in the Autumn term in relation to Covid-19. Please familiarise yourself with the information on our website here.
