Course details

Our aim is to educate and train musculoskeletal practitioners in the safe and competent use of diagnostic ultrasound imaging. It’s as simple as that. You’ll have the chance to be trained in the accurate acquisition of ultrasound images in the examination of musculoskeletal conditions. A team of experts will help you understand these images together with the medical history of the patient to take you a step further in making considered decisions in patient management.

Joining the musculoskeletal ultrasound course sees your learning split into two stages; a two-day seminar and the option of attending six one-day tutorials and masterclasses.

Stage One

This required introduction to MSK ultrasound features a full two days packed with lectures, demonstrations, and practical workshops featuring real patients. Covering ultrasound physics, equipment controls, quality assurance, and the ever important safety aspects, you’ll come away brimming with new information. See the full timetable in the accordions below.

Stage Two

Join our experts in our regional tutorials and masterclasses. Pick the sessions that are right for you or come along to all that’s on offer to receive essential skills for the practicing of musculoskeletal ultrasound. You’ll see prosection of anatomical specimens and 3D anatomy modelling as well as practical demonstrations of equipment and scanning skills, and completed some written assignments. Spaces are limited for these tutorials and masterclasses, allowing the experts more hands-on time with you and you more hands on time with the patients.
