The MSc Physiotherapy (Pre-registration) is a 2 year qualifying course for graduates with a relevant degree, providing the opportunity to undertake a physiotherapy course leading to registration at master's level. This MSc Physiotherapy (Pre-registration) course is validated, HCPC approved and has received CSP accreditation. Applications for January 2022 are now closed and applications for January 2023 entry will open in February 2022.

You’ll receive a challenging and rewarding educational experience, where you will develop all the skills necessary to practice as a competent, reflective, evidence-based and person-centred physiotherapist.
This course will equip you with the knowledge and skills required to make a valuable contribution to your chosen workplace. As part of this course, you will also develop a keen appreciation of people’s physical and mental health needs, so that you can provide high-quality treatment/rehabilitation for a variety of conditions across diverse specialities. Alongside this, you will develop key management and leadership skills and understand the importance of interdisciplinary working.
As part of the course, you will experience a wide range of placements including, NHS, voluntary and private, as well as our own on-site healthcare-focused clinic where you’ll gain a variety of experiences with a wide range of client groups. You’ll be working under the guidance of highly skilled clinicians and will treat patients, observe other practitioners and participate in all aspects of physiotherapy-focused care. You will also have the opportunity to participate in case conferences, ward rounds and a range of visits.

How do I apply?
Applications for our January 2022 MSc Physiotherapy (Pre-registration) course can now be made via our online application system. You will need to provide your educational history, a personal statement and a satisfactory reference.
Applications for January 2022 entry are now closed. Applications for January 2023 entry will be open from February 2022.
What qualifications do I need?
A first or second class (2:1 or 2:2) BSc (Hons) degree in a relevant science-based subject.
Examples of relevant subjects include sport and exercise science, sports rehabilitation, sports therapy, human biology, biomedical sciences, anatomy and physiology.
An existing qualification in nursing, midwifery or relevant Allied Health Profession (e.g: osteopathy or chiropractic).
Due to the large number of applications we receive for a limited number of places on the course, unfortunately we are not in a position to consider applicants who have not been awarded their degree result by the application deadline.
Is there anything else that is required?
If you live in the UK, we’ll need a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. It’s standard for all UK students and we’ll be there to guide you through the process once you’ve applied. To gain a place on the course applicants must also successfully undergo an interview process. In light of the current Covid-19 situation these interviews will be undertaken remotely via Skype. More information about this process will be provided if/when applicants are invited to the interview stage.

Please note to be accepted onto this course; you will also need to demonstrate that you meet the minimum standards of English. For this course, applicants are required to achieve the equivalent of an IELTS (academic) score of 7.0 or above with no less than 6.0 in each section.

International students will be required to pay a non-refundable £1,000 tuition fee deposit to secure their place on the course. These deposits will need to be paid by November 30th 2021 and more details will be provided in your offer email.
