Why choose chiropractic?
Chiropractic treatment can help to diagnose and treat problems with joints and muscles.
While chiropractors are best known for treating back pain, they are also able to provide support for many other types of pain management and injuries. They can also provide advice on exercise, diet, lifestyle and injury prevention.
People of all ages can benefit from what chiropractic has to offer and we see patients from a few days old to those who are in their nineties.
If you need more assurance as to whether chiropractic treatment could help you or a family member. We would advise to book a two hour assessment, we will not treat during this time, we will focus on gaining an understanding of your problem.
This includes a full health assessment including physical examination which includes reviewing your lifestyle and a general health check, for example, taking your blood pressure. Any problematic areas you have will be assessed thoroughly and treatment options discussed with you.
We love feedback, here is a small selection of the praise our students and staff have received. We are making plans to share our feedback with you on more regular basis. Watch this space:

For your chiropractic appointments we’ll provide you with a gown which opens at the back, and also provide shorts should you choose to wear them. For your exercise sessions it’s a good idea to wear loose, comfortable clothing. Clothes such as jeans or shirts/blouses can be restrictive, so it’s best to opt for jogging bottoms or shorts and a t-shirt. It’s also worth noting that we only allow indoor trainers, socks or bare feet in the Exercise Centre.
Only fully qualified chiropractors can register with the GCC, but as our interns are in their final stage of clinical training, their learning and your care is closely supervised by fully qualified and experienced teaching chiropractors who are registered with the GCC and are members of the British Chiropractic Association.
As with all insurance, it’s always best to check with your provider, as some don’t cover chiropractic treatment carried out by students. If this is the case, you could receive care from the fully qualified providers at our Academic Chiropractic Clinic instead? Unfortunately we can’t accept responsibility for a health insurance provider’s refusal to reimburse for treatment.
