Callum Wilson, AFCB and England Striker, On Campus For Expert Talk Event

On Tuesday 12 March, AECC University College welcomed Premier League star striker Callum Wilson onto campus in the first of their Spring Expert Talk Series. The free talks aim to educate and inspire the local community through a variety of health related topics.

Callum, who has been called up once again to the England squad, spoke in conversation with Jimmy Glass around his injury and detailed how the University College’s expertise and services played a part in his rehabilitation and recovery to ensure he was match ready.

Callum went on to speak about sport science, his training week, healthy relationships and competitiveness, psychology and nutrition, and how he works with a number of health professionals who support him to be the exceptional player that he is.

The next free event in the University College’s Spring Expert Talk Series will be taking place at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium on Tuesday 9th April, with AFCB Manager, Eddie Howe and Assistant Manager, Jason Tindall. Though this is a free event, attendees will need to be registered.
