AECC's New Halls of Residence

Bournemouth is a fantastic location and provides the perfect backdrop for your student life. A student-friendly town, there are many properties available to suit you and your budget.

Halls of Residence

The AECC is pleased to offer halls of residence through our relationship with Lulworth Student Company who run Hurn House and Union House in central Bournemouth. These luxury halls are situated just two miles from the college, on a direct bus route (which offers discounted student rates), whilst also being a short walk to Bournemouth’s trendy shopping, bars, restaurants and beach.  

AECC have 70 rooms available within this facility, which take the form of ensuite flats with shared kitchen facilities. These will be offered on a first come, first served basis and can be secured with a payment of £420 (£300 refundable deposit and £120 non-refundable fee).

 

Halls of Residence Costs

Costs are from £135 a week for a 42 week tenancy - all prices include all bills, internet access and 24 hour CCTV, security services and a secure entry system

Rental Accommodation

We know that some students may want an alternative to halls of residence, so our Students’ Union annually compiles a list of available alternative student accommodation and manages our dedicated AECC student accommodation Facebook page will put you in touch with all students who are looking for new housemates.

There are also plenty of guesthouses or short-term lets available if you would rather move in somewhere and then look for the perfect place once you are settled. Students rarely have any problems finding the right accommodation but if you do have any difficulties finding somewhere to live or if you are unhappy with your tenancy, then we are here to support you.

Rental Costs

Typical living costs are on average around £95* a week. When you agree a rental amount with your landlord, you should make sure you know exactly what this covers in terms of household bills such as gas and electricity.
