AECC University College Shortlisted for Two Heist Awards
The Heist Awards are a staple in every education marketing person’s calendar. For over 28 years, the phrase “Heist Award” has been synonymous with excellence and innovation in education marketing. Dubbed the ‘Oscars’ of the higher and further education sector, the awards provide a time for celebrating and recognising the hard work that marketing teams contribute.
The news came this week that AECC University College has been shortlisted twice in the 2018 Heist Awards. We are delighted to be listed amongst some of the UK’s leading universities in the following categories:
- Best Prospectus from a Specialist Institution
- Marketing Team of the Year
It has been a very successful year for the AECC University College Marketing and Communications team. They are a small team who have made a big impact, delivering a positive rebrand and repositioning project, website development and nurturing an institutional-wide culture of change; all whilst continuing business as usual, marketing eight new courses, and exceeding recruitment targets. This was no mean feat for an institution facing the once-in-a-generation sequence of political events that unfolded during 2017.
Head of Marketing and Communications, Lisa King, commented: “The team are over the moon to be shortlisted in two categories in the Heist Awards. We are delighted to be recognised by the sector for our hard work, which has most recently included delivering a rebrand, new website, new prospectus and launching eight new undergraduate courses, all whilst maintaining ‘business as usual’.
To be celebrated by the rest of the sector, at its very own ‘Oscars’ is a testament to the professionalism of the Marketing and Communications team who have consistently demonstrated creativity, determination and flexibility in their work. There is something truly special about being recognised by your peers in this way and whether we win or not, we’re looking forward to celebrating this fantastic institution and the brilliant work within the HE Marketing sector."
The Marketing and Communications team are looking forward to attending the awards ceremony at The Principal Hotel in Manchester later in July. We wish them every success!
