AECC at the ECU Convention, Cyprus
Last week some of the AECC team attended the ECU (European Chiropractors’ Union) convention in Cyprus where the theme of the event was ‘Life is Movement’; here's Jacqui Rix and Dr George Rix.
Dr George Rix was there to talk about our proposed new MSc APP Musculoskeletal Neuroscience course and received great feedback. Jacqui Rix also presented research posters looking at predictions of performance in chiropractic students.
Inger Villadsen, an AECC graduate, flew in to the ECU convention from Australia. Inger delivered a great session on Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS) which went really well.
Did you know chiropractors do humanitarian work?
Dr Sven Boehne from Italy also received a Humanitarian Award for the work of his team in Camerino following the earthquakes last summer in central Italy. Sven and his team provided on-site chiropractic support to the Civil Protection Service including firemen and the Red Cross who were working long hours extracting victims from the rubble.
It was a fantastic event which everyone who attended took something from and thoroughly enjoyed.
