Neighbourhood Festival

Transforming lives through our community.

Have you ever wondered how your brain zaps around information, or wanted to know the strongest muscle in your body? Join us for our jam-packed and family-friendly Neighbourhood Festival, Saturday 8th June: 11am - 3pm, taking place at AECC University College.

Discover the fascinating world of health and science right on your doorstep with lots of free interactive sessions, talks from our health brainiacs, sport masterminds and bright sparks. There'll be lots going on to inspire and educate old and young alike, including competitions, dress-up, live music, educational talks, exhibitions and demonstrations.

We'll also have our partners AFC Bournemouth joining us on campus, offering children's coaching sessions and a super competition to claim top of the leader board in the PowerStrike challenge! Though all our events are free, some of these require booking in advance.

How can l get involved?

As part of the lead up to the day we have several competitions for our local young people, schools and education providers to take part in.

Shortlisted entries will be displayed in our ‘neighbourhood art gallery’ and judging will take place at the neighbourhood festival before our prize-giving ceremony. To receive more information about the competitions, please contact lbates@aecc.ac.uk
