Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy

Cognitive rehabilitation therapy (CRT) is a type of neurological therapy that focuses on improving cognition, or thinking ability, in people who have experienced traumatic brain injury or illness.

Cognitive rehabilitation therapy can be used by individuals who have suffered from traumatic brain injury, stroke, anoxic brain injury, dementia, or other brain-related conditions. People with cognitive decline due to advancing age may also benefit from CRT. However, it is important to note that CRT is not a “one size fits all” type of therapy and should be tailored to the individual needs of the patient.
