Manage symptoms for hip and knee, osteoarthritis and help return to daily life with our group exercise classes. Meet other people living with osteoarthritis, be supported by our clinical specialists, and learn to self-manage and cope with arthritic pain using exercise.

Our hip and knee pain classes could be perfect for you!

If you are independently mobile and are able to carry out regular exercise, you may benefit from our Escape Pain and Osteoarthritis Lower Limb classes.

Meet other people living with hip and knee pain, and learn to self-manage and cope with arthritic pain under the guidance of our vastly experienced Sports Rehabilitator.

Escape Pain Programme

Learn simple ways to better manage knee and hip pain, in a 6-week programme you will start and finish together as a group.

Practise gentle, individualised exercise that match your needs and pace. The Escape Pain programme is designed to provide simple and effective exercises, and educate you about pain management and osteoarthritis.

Classes are delivered over 12 sessions (2 classes per week over 6 weeks). Sessions last for 1 hour – with 40 mins exercise, 20 mins education.

Price: £45 – 12 sessions

Lower Limb Osteoarthritis Class

Come along for an hour of exercise designed specifically to help people with lower limb osteoarthritis. Perfect for those who can’t commit to our 6-week programme, or if you just want to get some good quality exercise every now and then.

Sessions last for 1 hour and involve circuit-based exercises with varying degrees of difficulty to suit your ability.

Classes take place twice a week and are there for you to drop in as you need.

£7 per session

£35 for prepaid block of 6

Additional Information: 1. You should wear loose, comfortable clothing to exercise sessions and suitable footwear such as trainers. 2. You should bring a water bottle and any medications with you such as inhalers. 3. It is likely that you may become sore in the initial stages which is normal after exercise. 4. You may not feel any improvement for up to 6 weeks. If you have any questions or concerns at any time, please inform your intern or speak to a member of staff.
