Wenona Dancy transitioned from Chiropractic Intern to Graduate Teaching Assistant after graduating from AECC University College. Her role consists of treating patients in the onsite Chiropractic Clinic, alongside continually developing her clinic skills, and supporting academic aspects of the MChiro Gateway and Y1 cohorts.

Biography

Wenona Dancy transitioned from Chiropractic Intern to Graduate Teaching Assistant after graduating from AECC University College. Her role consists of treating patients in the onsite Chiropractic Clinic, alongside continually developing her clinic skills, and supporting academic aspects of the MChiro Gateway and Y1 cohorts.

From the onset of returning into education, becoming involved in teaching and research has always been a lot term goal for Wenona. The opportunity arose earlier than anticipated when the Graduate Teaching Assistant vacancy became available. 

Areas of Interest

Wenona has worked in various Healthcare settings, including as a Carer for a family member who developed severe adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and is a wheelchair user. 

A focus on inclusivity is a particular interest to Wenona, having experienced first hand the impact exclusivity presents. She plans to develop her knowledge of scoliosis, alongside a greater understanding of appropriate treatment methods that have been considered successful for different individuals.
