Lecturer in Chiropractic
Philippa is a lecturer in Chiropractic within the School of Chiropractic, coming from background in veterinary nursing as well as roles within the NHS. Philippa also runs her own private clinic, seeing a wide variety of patients in particular the older demographic.
Philippa has lived and worked in around the south of England for many years but has been settled in Bournemouth for the last eight years. Although she started her career as a veterinary nurse, she has had a varied career including spending 10 years in management roles in the NHS in contracting and commissioning. Philippa came to chiropractic a little later in life and decided to study chiropractic at the beginning of 2009. She really enjoyed studying to be a chiropractor and her experiences not so long ago help her understand how pressurised but fulfilling studying to be a healthcare professional can be. She graduated and started practice in 2014 and the combination of contemporary clinical skills and experience allows her to give something back to the profession by working with students to help them to be chiropractors of the future.
Experience and Areas of Interest
When not teaching at the University, Philippa runs her own private clinic seeing a wide variety of patients, particularly the older demographic, which she enjoys.
Philippa also works part-time in one of the very few Chiropractic services within the NHS, completing initial remote consultations with NHS patients who predominately have back an neck complaints.
