Neela Chauhan

DCR (R) - Radiographer

Neela joined the AECC University College in 2004 as a Bank Radiographer. Neela is still currently working as part of the x-ray team supervising and teaching practical aspects of positioning to the students. She is also a 2nd Examiner in the Practical Assessments of the students, as well as the deputy Radiation Protection Supervisor.

Biography

Neela Chauhan graduated in 1978 from the Medical Training Centre of Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. Neela worked at the hospital until 1982 when she got married and came to Bournemouth to settle.

She joined the Royal Victoria Hospital in Bournemouth in 1983 and moved when the hospital relocated to its current site in 1992. The latter 2-4 years of Neela's 20 years with the NHS were spent working at the Wimborne Hospital.

Neela joined the AECC University College in 2004 as a Bank Radiographer.

Current Activity

Neela is still currently working as part of the x-ray team supervising and teaching practical aspects of positioning to the students. She is also a 2nd Examiner in the Practical Assessments of the students, as well as the deputy Radiation Protection Supervisor.

Areas of Interest

All aspects of Practical Radiography including Protection and some legal radiation issues.
