Marcus Sanger is a Lecturer in Exercise and Health within the AECC School of Chiropractic and the Level Leader for the Gateway Year of the MChiro.

Biography

Marcus Sanger is a Lecturer in Exercise and Health within the AECC School of Chiropractic. He teaches across a number of units at undergraduate and post graduate level and is a dissertation supervisor. His interest and specialism is in functional movement, clinical corrective exercise, soft tissue therapy and post-acute rehabilitation strategies. Marcus has over 30 years of experience in exercise and health science as an innovative real-world and future-ready educator, external examiner, curricula developer, validation panel member, external academic adviser, research ethics panel member, professional development endorsement panel member, consultant; national and international tutor, assessor, internal verifier and external verifier; book reviewer, personal training studio/clinic co-owner, national fitness trainer, health club manager, fitness manager, personal trainer, performance coach (golf, tennis, go-kart, polo and rugby) and post-acute injury rehab specialist.

Current Activity

Marcus is an external examiner; a technical evaluator, external verifier and submission support manager for PD:Approval, working on behalf of the Sports Therapy Association, U.K. (STA), the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) India, REPs Pakistan, REPs UAE and REPs Ireland; and a tutor and assessor at Bournemouth University’s Academy of Performance Coaching.

Research

Research

Marcus is currently researching the effects of wellness technology-based therapeutic interventions on human performance and recovery as part of a prospective PhD by publication. He is also researching the integration of innovative gamification pedagogy in the online teaching and learning environment.
