Ultrasonographer

Gemma King provides high quality scans to NHS patients requiring ultrasound examinations in general ultrasound, gynaecology and small areas. She also partakes in practical teaching sessions as a facilitator for ultrasound short courses in gynaecology and early pregnancy and obstetrics.

Biography

Gemma King provides high quality scans to NHS patients requiring ultrasound examinations in general ultrasound, gynaecology and small areas. She also partakes in practical teaching sessions as a facilitator for ultrasound short courses in gynaecology and early pregnancy and obstetrics

Gemma started her career as a newly qualified Radiographer working in Hong Kong, and then progressed through Junior roles in central London trauma centres such as Kings College Hospital and St. Georges Hospital. She then loved to Oxford for a Senior Radiographer role, where she learnt to scan ultrasound DDH baby hips. This then triggered her interest in sonography and a move to Dorset. 

Areas of Interest

Areas of interest include: Obstetrics and early pregnancy, general abdominal, gynaecology, small parts and DDH baby hip ultrasound scanning.
