Anna Franklin

BSc, DC, MSc - Clinic Tutor

Anna works in the New Forest, running a busy chiropractic clinic with an associate within a GP surgery, with whom she enjoys an excellent professional relationship. She combines this with another position of Clinical Tutor on the senior clinic team at the AECC University College, mentoring final year students as they prepare for life as a chiropractor.

Biography

Anna Franklin graduated from AECC University College in 1991 as Valedictorian with distinction, and since that time has worked in private practice as a chiropractor. She worked as an associate until she set up her first clinic in 1994, which she gradually expanded to comprise five associates, a massage therapist, a rehabilitation suite and an exercise trainer. Anna is a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractors Orthopaedic Faculty.

Whilst she was adding to her family, she opened her most recent clinic within a GP surgery where she has worked for the past decade, alongside her work as a Clinic Tutor at the University College. Here, she created the Pain Management Clinic within the University College's chiropractic clinic and co-manages all patients referred for hypnosis to help cope with their pain and problems related to it.

Current Activity

Anna works in the New Forest, running a busy chiropractic clinic with an associate within a GP surgery, with whom she enjoys an excellent professional relationship. She combines this with another position of Clinical Tutor on the senior clinic team at the AECC UC, mentoring final year students as they prepare for life as a chiropractor.

She is also a historical fiction writer and published her first novel, Walking Wounded, in 2016, which has gone on to win various writer’s awards.

She also sings and performs regularly, both as a soloist and in a choir.

Areas of Interest

Designing and integrating functional rehabilitation programmes for chronic pain patients. Treatment/Management of chronic patients. Hypnosis and Meditation. Mentoring (students and graduates) both academically and with personal issues. Communication with other health care practitioners, especially GPs.
