Angela Wood

DCR(R), SRR(R), PGCCT - Senior Lecturer (Radiography), Superintendent Radiographer

Angela is currently Senior Lecturer and Superintendent Radiographer at the AECC University College. She teaches both theory and practice of radiography and supervises Interns taking x-rays in the AECC University College Chiropractic Clinic and also acts as the University College’s Radiation Protection Supervisor. Angela also acts as an undergraduate project supervisor.

Biography

Angela Wood graduated from Salford University in 1973 as a diagnostic radiographer.  Following some years working in the NHS as a radiographer, Angela joined AECC University College in 1990 as the clinic radiographer, supervising students in the clinic x-ray suite.  Three years later, she started to assist in the radiography positioning classes, eventually acting as co-tutor and then taking over as lead tutor in 2010.

Current Activity

Angela is currently Senior Lecturer and Superintendent Radiographer at the AECC University College. She teaches both theory and practice of radiography and supervises Interns taking x-rays in the AECC University College Chiropractic Clinic and also acts as the University College’s Radiation Protection Supervisor. Angela also acts as an undergraduate project supervisor.

Areas of Interest

All aspects of radiography, both practical and theoretical, including legal issues and radiation protection.
