
Ana Soares
BSc, MSc, PGCert - Psychology Lecturer
Ana joined AECC University College in 2018 as a Psychology Lecturer in the School of Psychology, Sport and Physical Activity.
Biography
Ana has been working as an applied sport psychologist for the past ten years with top junior and professional athletes. In addition, Ana is currently completing her PhD in Sport Psychology at the University of Winchester.
Current Activity
Ana is lecturing on the subjects of communication, psychosocial health concepts and behaviour change across year 0 to year 3 in the MSc chiropractic degree. Currently, Ana is also working part-time as a sport psychologist for Southampton FC.

- MSc Clinical and Health Psychology, Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal
- BSc Psychological Sciences, Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal.
Research
Ana’s research involves performance psychology. Her current research is focused on momentum and turning points in tennis, specifically how players perceive and respond to decisive moments during a match. Other areas of interest include goal orientations and coping in sport.
