Community and Partnerships

AECC University College is at the forefront of engaging with others. Our research is presented at conferences around the world and we foster positive relationships with universities, funding bodies, governments, student associations, businesses and communities both nationally and internationally.

Transforming Communities

We may have a global outlook, but we're also firmly rooted in the local community and love to get involved wherever we can.

We welcome our communities onto campus to learn more about who we are and what we do. Why not check out our series of expert talks and join us in transforming lives through health sciences.

We work with a number of local and regional partners, providing value to our strategic institutional vision and giving back to our communities.

The quality of our official partnerships are testament to our drive and our passion to create transformational communities who share in our values and our successes.

Through our Access and Participation activities we actively encourage a broad spectrum of students into higher education and support all students to achieve their potential.

Our access and participation projects span academic and professional services staff, as well as external target school networks, contributing to outreach activities that widen access and raise attainment.

We work with students at both primary and secondary school level, and aim to support students at different stages of their academic journey.

Speak With us at an Event

School Visits, Career Fairs and UCAS Exhibitions

Our staff and Student Ambassadors regularly attend schools, careers fairs and UCAS exhibitions to talk about the courses we offer, the student experience and campus life, our facilities and the mixed methods of learning adopted at the AECC University College.

Contact us for more information on upcoming events, or speak to your school/college about us coming to visit you.

Community Engagement Programme

Our Senior Chiropractic Interns, studying in their final year, take part in at least two community engagement events as part of their course. This provides a great opportunity not only for students to gain experience outside of a clinical environment, but also enables us to connect with our communities and give back to the public. Some of the events we support each year include: Bournemouth Lions Club Healthy Happy Living event; Bournemouth Marathon; MacMillan Dorset Bike Ride; Rotary Dorset Bike Ride; Larmer Tree Marathon; Dorset Plane Pull; Bournemouth Bay Run; and Boscombe 10k.
