Transforming Communities
We may have a global outlook, but we're also firmly rooted in the local community and love to get involved wherever we can.
We welcome our communities onto campus to learn more about who we are and what we do. Why not check out our series of expert talks and join us in transforming lives through health sciences.
We work with a number of local and regional partners, providing value to our strategic institutional vision and giving back to our communities.
The quality of our official partnerships are testament to our drive and our passion to create transformational communities who share in our values and our successes.

Clinic Visits
Not sure what a typical day as a chiropractor looks like?
For those interested in finding out more about a career in chiropractic, visiting our modern clinic and shadowing our clinical students can be arranged. However, as we are a professional training clinic visitors shadowing students should follow these helpful steps, before a visit can be agreed with the clinic:
• Be 16 and over and in education. We will also ask you also for a short reference, which can be provided by a teacher in your school or college, or a healthcare professional.
• If you are over 18 and not in full-time education we will ask you for a reference which can be provided by a professional, although if your not sure, we can help with advice on this.
• Applicants under 16 years of age and in years 10 or 11 are welcomed to apply and will be assessed on an individual basis. We will also ask you also for a short reference, which can be provided by a teacher in your school or college or a healthcare professional.
Applications to visit the clinic to find out what our chiropractic students do in the clinic can be made by emailing lbates@aecc.ac.uk. Once all the above has been arranged we will be in touch with an agreed date.
Please note that you will be required to bring along on the day photographic ID. Further information will be sent to you ahead of the visit and we will ask you to sign a confidentiality agreement.
If you have any further questions or wish to talk through this opportunity, please contact Lisa Bates on the above email or call 01202 436200.
