Send us a story
Requests for stories are managed by the Marketing team. Please use the form below to submit your AECC University College news. We like to hear what you have been up to, including collaborations, research and student success stories. If we consider your story suitable for external press coverage, your details will be forwarded to our Communications Officer who may contact you for further details and to discuss external promotion.
Please remember to:
- Keep your information as brief as possible (300 maximum word count maximum)
- Include a heading that is, in effect, a summary of the news story/event (to facilitate web links
- Try to include key information in the opening paragraph - in case we need to cut copy for space reasons
- Ensure you include essential details – the 5 Ws (who, what, where, when and why) plus ‘how’
- Attach images/logos. If your file size it too large, please email it as a separate attached to email@example.com with the corresponding title of the news submission.
The Marketing team has editorial responsibility for information published through all AECC University College channels and reserves the right to edit and rewrite copy when necessary, as well as to decide which of the channels to use. We reserve the right not to publish stories and/or images that we deem unsuitable or not in keeping with our corporate identity.
We will endeavour to action/publish your news story within three working days of receipt of copy. However, at particularly busy times (for example, start of term or graduation), it may take longer for the story to be published.
The Marketing team are responsible for the following channels.

When you submit a story to us we will decide which of the University College's social media channels are most appropriate. If you have any pictures, videos or events you would like to add to these channels, please email Marketing.
- Monthly Student E-newsletter
The newsletter provides a roundup of upcoming events and news on campus for students, including corporate messages and outcomes of decisions made at relevant committee/groups. To have something included in the newsletter please use the form above.
- Email (HTML design)
- Student on-campus campaigns
We can help facilitate campaigns on campus which relate to our University College personality traits, or communicate corporate messages/updates. Please email Marketing with any requests.
- Weekly Staff E-newsletter
The University College's regular e-newsletter briefing for staff. The e-newsletter, circulated every Friday, features highlights from news, stories, updates and the University College community. To have something included in the newsletter please use the form above.
- Social Media Platforms
When you submit a story to us, we decide which of the University College’s social media channels are most appropriate to disseminate the information.
- Quarterly Staff Editorial Magazine
Please send any articles you wish to be featured in the magazine via the form above. Marketing team will also contact individuals with requests for content. The magazine has a staff focus, and content will illustrate our institutional and brand personality traits.
