'Togglers Arms' Student Bar

Welcome to the AECC watering hole! You will find a slightly sophisticated, intellectual but approachable mix of students and staff propped up at our bar most nights.

If you want to mingle with colleagues, relax, have a game of pool or table football, or simply enjoy a drink, then this is the place for you. We have an eclectic mix of tunes every night and our drinks are very reasonably priced.

There is always have something going on in the bar, from DJ nights to quizzes or live music, so come on down. We are open from 5pm till 11pm (sometimes later if there is a special event), and we are situated in the main building. The bar can also accommodate any functions that you might be holding. Please see the Bar Manager for further information regarding hire of the bar area.

Gym

We have a well-equipped gym in the Hall in order to meet your fitness demands. Equipment includes rowing machines, step machines, a range of weights, cycle machines, crunch frames, back benches, Olympic curl bars, a quad/hamstring machine, an Olympic long bar and a climbing wall.

Gym subscription is currently £50 for the year and this includes an induction and membership to all the clubs. If you wish to join, then please collect a gym application from the Students' Union.
