Anglo-European College of Chiropractic

BSc(Hons) Community Health and Rehabilitation

Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Community Health and Rehabilitation programme is an exciting opportunity for people in work to undertake a health care degree while still working. It provides significant opportunities for students to underpin their knowledge in a range of health related subjects, and to relate these to their everyday experience at work. There is also opportunity for up-skilling existing knowledge and competencies.

Course Aims

The course will provide students and professionals with the necessary skills and background knowledge to work competently within a healthcare environment. It is anticipated that students undertaking this degree programme will be in full time work within a related health care field, therefore the delivery is flexible and supported by e-learning. Students’ previous experiences and present work environment will individually contexutalise their learning.  Teaching and assessment will build on students’ individual knowledge, develop competencies further, and ensure that academic standards are met. Students without an appropriate clinical workplace will be offered access to patients at the AECC Clinic, as well local NHS settings and community exercise programmes.

Course Content

The flexible delivery of the programme is designed specifically to allow students to remain in the workplace whilst studying, giving you the opportunity to get a degree whilst still in practice.

Students will undertake six, 20 credit units each year, three in each semester.  Tuition at the AECC will occur on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for four consecutive weeks to introduce units and continue with e-learning, online-delivery via a dedicated virtual learning environment.

For those of you not already in a clinical rehabilitation workplace, the AECC is in a unique position to be able to offer students clinical placements to enhance their learning.
