International Entry Requirements
International students are required to meet additional criteria when applying for this course. The following apply to all international students, but there may be further requirements depending on your country of origin. For country-specific information, please contact the Registry department.
English Language Requirements
If your first language is not English, the College would consider one of the following qualifications/tests to be a suitable minimum level of competence:
- British Council/Cambridge International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
- Band 6.0 in the academic stream with a minimum of 5.5 in each of the sub-tests.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
- Paper-based Version: Score of 550, plus 4 in TWE
- Internet-based Version: Score of 80, with no less than 15 in any one section.
If you are taking any of the TOEFL exams please use our TOEFL institution code '1582'.
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English
- Grade B Minimum
Other English language qualifications will be considered on application. Please contact the Admissions Officer for further details.
Language tests should be booked as early in the year as possible, as re-sits may be required, and an unconditional offer cannot be made until all conditions have been fulfilled.
Non-UK Interviews
It is current practice that all non-UK applicants (excluding those from Norway, Denmark, USA, Canada and Hong Kong) are normally required to secure a letter of recommendation from their national chiropractic association before an unconditional offer of a place can be made. This may involve an interview.
In addition, and particularly in countries where no recognised chiropractic association exists, non-UK applicants may also be asked to attend an interview with a practising chiropractor or another suitably qualified health care professional in the relevant country.
VISA Requirements
If you are a non-EU/non-UK student, you must be aware of any VISA requirements relative to your country of origin. The UK Council for International Student Affairs provides country-specific information on their website at www.ukcisa.org.uk.
