Why study at the AECC?

The Anglo-European College of Chiropractic is the oldest chiropractic college in Europe and is well known for its cutting edge, forward thinking research and techniques.

We also have an onsite teaching clinic devoted to providing world class care and treatment. Many of our students work under close supervision there, using their newly acquired expertise to help those who need it.

Course Prospects

Successful completion of the course means that you will be eligible to study at degree level. The AECC offers three excellent degree courses and the BSc in Chiropractic offers you the opportunity to go on to study a Masters.

UK Requirements

This course is open to students who do not have formal qualifications. We will also ask you to complete an application form and come to an interview.

Criminal Records check

All UK applicants to the Access Programme must undergo an Enhanced CRB check due to the nature of the clinical placements built into the programme. Refusal to consent to this will result in the automatic rejection of an applicant.  Similarly, failure to disclose a criminal conviction (including a ‘spent’ conviction), which is subsequently discovered, will normally result either in the rejection of an application or, in the event of the applicant being enrolled on the programme at the time of discovery, termination of their studentship.

Admission of a criminal offence by an applicant will not necessarily result in automatic rejection, but the nature of the College’s relationship with the public in its Clinic puts students in a unique position of trust that must be protected.

You may see the CRB Code of Practice at www.crb.homeoffice.gov.uk. CRB application forms are provided by the AECC to applicants who have accepted an offer of a place.  Once completed, the form should be returned to AECC Registry with a cheque for £44. All non-UK applicants are required to obtain a national police authority check where available.

Fees

The course costs £1,500 for students wishing to study during the 2012/13 academic year. Fees are subject to change and reviewed annually.

We do allow you to pay in two instalments if this is easier for you.

Course Validation

The course is approved and validated by the Open College Network and undergoes stringent quality checks to make sure students receive the very best teaching and assessment.
