Reasons to study at AECC University College
There are many benefits to studying at AECC University College, from our expertise and history in teaching health sciences, to our state-of-the-art facilities, on-site clinical training, and of course our location on the beautiful Bournemouth coast.
Close-knit community
Life on a small campus means you’ll be part of a close-knit community of students and staff from around the world – right from your first day.
Our students get plenty of support from our helpful, specialist staff. Everyone knows everyone here and on campus you’ll be able to mix with like-minded individuals all either teaching, studying, or researching health sciences.
State-of-the-art facilities
You won’t find equipment like this in every institution. We have one of only seven upright MRI scanners in the country, digital x-ray equipment and high-specification Samsung and AGFA ultrasound scanners.
In our Human Performance Laboratory, you’ll master state-of-the-art testing and analysis equipment used to support professional sportspeople, and you’ll learn about rehab, injury resistance and performance enhancement in our Exercise Centre.
Unmatched expertise and partnerships
AECC University College is at the forefront of engaging with others.
Our research is presented at conferences around the world and we foster positive relationships with universities, funding bodies, governments, student associations, businesses and communities both nationally and internationally.
Receive on-site clinical training
One reason that students choose AECC is for our on-site clinical training.
As part of your degree you’ll learn and train in one of Europe’s largest placement clinics. Whether you’re working in our high-diagnostic imaging facilities, our internationally-renowned chiropractic clinic, or the fully equipped Exercise and Sport Performance Centre, we’ll help you get work-ready in a real-world clinical environment.
A variety of courses
We have a great choice of health sciences courses to choose from.
Along with our flagship Master of Chiropractic course, we also teach subjects in radiology, rehabilitation, medical ultrasound, sports psychology and lots more.
More than just study
There’s always something to keep you busy when you’re not studying, whether it’s catching up with friends in our on-campus gym or bar, or getting involved in our clubs and societies.
With an active Students’ Union there’s loads you can do to make the most of your university experience. We know health and well-being is important, so you’ll also get free treatment in the training clinic. And best of all, you’ll be surrounded by like-minded individuals who all care about the same things you do.
