Clinic Reception Team of 2019
October the 12th saw the winners of the British Chiropractic Association (BCA) Awards 2019 announced at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.
Awards were presented in four categories; Young Associate of the Year, Reception Team of the Year, Clinic of the Year and Chiropractor’s Chiropractor. These awards were voted by members of the BCA.
The AECC University College Clinic were honoured to bring home the trophy for BCA’s Reception Team of the Year. Our Principal Lesley Haig and Head of School of Chiropractic, Philip Dewhurst collected the award on their behalf.
AECC Director of Clinic Neil Osborne commented:
“This is a fantastic accolade and recognition of the work that they do. It is not easy to deal with 120+ new and fledgling clinicians, who change every year, and between 40,000 to 50,000 patients per year. On top of all that we have the NHS pain management clinic practitioners and the patients that they bring as well as our MRI and exercise patients. The team receive a lot of excellent feedback through our patient comments cards, Google business reviews and on our Facebook page and work really hard to keep us going. Sometimes we may not say thank you enough. I am extremely proud of what they do, and of what they have achieved”
AECC University College Head of School of Chiropractic commented:
“Our reception team do a fantastic job supporting our students. Much of the work they do is unseen as they tirelessly work away behind the scenes making sure that everything runs smoothly so our students can focus on their patients and their clinical training. There will be many an alumnus who holds fond memories of the team, and whilst this award was given for the incredible job they have done in the last year, it’s important to remember that they do an incredible job every year. A very well deserved award, well done.”
The team at AECC University College will be celebrating their achievement with a congratulatory lunch planned for 6th November photos of the event will be shared on our Instagram channel.

In addition to the Clinic Reception Team award, the Chiropractor’s Chiropractor went to our alumna Elisabeth Davidson and the prestigious Chiropractor of the Year award, as voted for by the BCA Board of Directors, went to our alumnus Jonathan Field for his work giving chiropractic a high public profile in the local and national health communities. Congratulations Jonathan and Elizabeth from all of us here at AECC University College, well deserved recipients.
