The AECC have announced a sponsorship deal with local Boscombe Cliff Bowling Club. The teaching college will be supporting the local community group by sponsoring the club’s 2016 Festival of Bowls – the 99th Bournemouth Open Bowls Tournament which will be taking place in August.
The AECC who have an onsite treating clinic see members from the club and have previously helped them to overcome complaints such as lower back pain. Michael Drage, Club Sponsorship Secretary commented: “I have been bowling for fifty years now and became involved with the Boscombe Cliff Bowling Club about ten years ago. I’ve been treated at the AECC in the past and the treatment is second to none, it’s good value for money and the clinic has fantastic facilities and excellent interns. I think the fact that we now have a tie in with the college is a fantastic way to build upon community relationships and we hope to see some of the students on the green very soon – we are always open to new members!”
Rhonda Card, AECC Clinic Manager said: “We are very proud to support Boscombe Cliff Bowling Club and look forward to welcoming them and their members to the clinic. The AECC has one of the busiest outpatient clinics in Europe with more than 1,000 patient treatments a week. We help members of the community from babies to the elderly from many different walks of life. We are open Monday to Saturday and offer early and late appointments.”
