Chiropractic Programme 2011
The new BSc/MSc chiropractic programme is a full-time degree that runs over a 5-year period. Innovative, integrated and strongly vocational, the course is designed to train and prepare graduate chiropractors for professional practice as primary healthcare providers in modern society. The programmes leads to an award of Master of Science in Chiropractic, which is an internationally recognised academic qualification. Graduates may then be required to complete a further minimum of one year's supervised clinical practice under the auspices of relevant National Chropractic Associations in order to obtain the full title of chiropractor.
The BSc/MSc chiropractic programme follows the Bologna Model, increasingly adopted by universities across the EU in order to standardise education within Europe. The higher educational model will markedly benefit our students as it allows for deeper and broader clincial training over two years rather than one, currently the period allowed in other instititutions providing chiropractic education. Students will graduate with a prestigious degree that is widely recognised across Europe thus ensuring mobility throughout the sector.
