The 42nd Graduation Ceremony for the awards of Master of Chiropractic
will be held at the Pavilion Theatre in Bournemouth on Friday 19th November 2010. Your graduation ceremony is designed to be a celebration of your achievements here at AECC.

Information Packs
Students in the final year of their course will be sent the “Graduation Information Booklet” in March. Please read this carefully and return the “notification of attendance" form by the end of April 2010 to Registry.
Academic Dress
The Graduation Ceremony is a formal occasion and all participants are expected to be appropriately dressed for such an important event. Place your order for your academic gown, hood and hat at www.wmnortham.co.uk as soon as possible. To ensure that they are the correct size it is important that you provide your height and hat size (or circumference of your head) when booking.
On the day, your gown, hood and hat will be available in the Phoebe Bar at the Pavilion Theatre from 10.45am. You must be gowned and ready by 12.30 pm at the latest, ready to assemble for the procession soon after 1 pm.
This year Messrs Northams, the gown suppliers, will be there to assist you to robe.
Parchments and Programmes
At the ceremony you will receive your parchment, the AECC Associateship Certificate and the Radiography Certificate. The names printed on the certificates and in the souvenir Graduation Programme are those held in the college's student record database.
If you have indicated that you are unable to attend the ceremony your parchments and a copy of the programme will be sent to you at the address you give us on your Notification of Attendance. We will ask you to confirm receipt.
Attendance - Unpaid Fees/charges. If you wish to attend the ceremony, please return your Graduation Notification of Attendance to Isobel Kelleher in Registry as soon as possible, but no later than 30 April 2010. If for personal reasons, you cannot subsequently attend, please notify Isobel as soon as possible.
Please note: Attendance at the ceremony is contingent on students’ eligibility and of having satisfied all payment requirements. The college requires all students who are eligible and wish to attendGraduation to have settled their accounts before 9 July. This requirement includes the fullpayment of academic fees and any other outstanding library loans or fees due to AECC, orpayments due to the Spine Centre Ltd.
Guest Tickets
Admission to the ceremony is by invitation only. Graduates do not need a ticket for themselves. Please ensure that yourguests bring their tickets with them to the ceremony. Each student may purchase up to 4 guest tickets at a cost of £15 each. Each ticket gives entry to the ceremony and includes refreshments afterwards.
Requests for additional tickets will be considered sympathetically although allocation of extra tickets is subject to availability. Payment for tickets must accompany your request on the Notification of Attendance.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ENTRY TO THE THEATRE IS BY TICKET ONLY. NO-ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER WITHOUT PRODUCTION OF A TICKET, EXCEPT CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 10.
YOUR TICKET ALLOCATION IS NOT TRANSFERABLE
Please note that once the allocation of additional tickets has been made, the payment is not refundable should you or your guests fail to attend.

On arrival at the Pavilion Theatre please register yourself and your guests at the table in the Foyer.

Guests
Your guests should be seated in the theatre no less than 15 minutes before the beginning of the ceremony. On entering, guests will be required to produce their invitation. Guests arriving late may be asked to remain at the back of the theatre until the processions have entered and have been seated. Further, detailed instructions will be given to you at a later date.
Photography
A photography service will be provided by Northams Photography. They will be available in the Lucullus Room at the Pavilion Theatre from 10.45am. You are strongly advised to pre-book this service on-line at www.wmnortham.co.uk to save time on the day. There will also be an opportunity after the ceremony for graduates to have photographs taken.
Refreshments
Before the ceremony you may purchase light refreshments from the coffee shop in the foyer at the Pavilion Theatre.. There are also a number of restaurants along Westover Road, nearby. Following the ceremony you and your guests are invited to join us in the Ballroom, at the Pavilion Theatre for light refreshments. The bars will be open for the purchase of alcohol.
Car Parking
There is ample car parking available either at the Pavilion Theatre car park or at several nearby council run car parks. Normal charges apply but can be expensive.

Graduands are required to wear gowns, caps and hoods. Graduands may have individual and family group photographs taken, if required, by the official photographer in the Lucullus Room. |

Disabled Access
The Pavilion Theatre has access for disabled guests. Inside the theatre there is ample provision for wheelchairs and there is a lift situated at the rear of the building, close to the Ballroom to access the disabled toilets on the low ground floor..
Graduation Ball
Your Graduation Ball Committee has worked hard to ensure that on Friday 19 or Saturday 20 November (date to be confirmed), you end these celebrations with an evening to remember. We recommend that you order your tickets for the Ball as soon as possible since, with limitations of space, demand is likely to be high. Prices and details available from the Students’ Union.
