Applying to the AECC
All Applications should be made through UCAS.
How to complete your online application:
1. Go to the UCAS website - www.ucas.ac.uk.
2. On the opening page, select 'Apply'.
3. The second page asks whether you are a student or member of staff. Click on student. (By clicking 'Apply Information' you can view helpful information on applying through UCAS).
4. This link opens the registration/login page. If you have already registered with UCAS, enter your 'Username' and 'Password', click on 'Login' and go to instruction 6 below. If you have not registered with UCAS, click 'Register'.
5. Clicking 'Register' takes you through the registration process.
Read the terms and conditions and press 'Accept' to continue. Answer the questions as accurately as possible, pressing 'Next' to proceed.
If you are applying through a school or college, click this option. Your school or college will then guide you further.
If you are not applying through a school or college please select 'as an individual'.
When you have completed the registration process, it will confirm your 'Username' and 'Password'. Keep these details in a safe place.
To make an application, login using your new 'Username' and 'Password'.
6. Once you have successfully logged into UCAS select Courses' and enter the following codes for our course. The UCAS code of College is 'A65' and the Course code is 'B320'.
If you intend to continue living at home whilst studying at the AECC, tick 'Home'. Otherwise, leave this box blank.
If you are not applying to enter the course this September, but are applying for the year after, tick 'Defer'.
Point of entry is decided by the Admissions Panel during the application process. However, UCAS require you to enter something in 'Point of Entry'. Please enter '1'
When you have completed this form click 'Save' followed by 'Finish'.
7. 'Courses specific information'. If you have a previous UCAS number, enter it here. If you think that you will apply for a route B course at any time please click 'Yes'. See UCAS for further information on route B courses.
8. To complete your application, click on each UCAS menu heading in turn to fill out the required details. It is essential that the information you provide is as accurate as possible. Each screen has a help option to assist you with any queries.
