What a Norwegian student had to say about the AECC...
Silje Strand
Year 2 (3rd year) student from Bergen, Norway
"The AECC was recommended to me by my Chiropractor who used to study here, and I was told it was the best place to study chiropractic. I was also persuaded by the fact that the college have their own teaching clinic and were in the process of building a new purpose built clinic when I enrolled.
The standard of the new clinic is excellent and the course enables you to spend an entire year treating real patients in a professional environment before qualifying. The college is quite small, which I think is a bonus as you get to know the majority of the other students and tutors. You don't feel like a small fish in a big pond.
The course is hard work, but excellent resources are in place to help and there is a close community and everyone learns together. I have found the course very in depth which I think prepares you well.
The fact that the college is in Bournemouth means you can enjoy the beach in the summer and the shopping is really good. Bournemouth is not huge which is nice and there is always something to do. The weather is better here too!
Within the college there are lots of student organisations that you can get involved in. At the AECC 25% of students are Norwegian. The large Norwegian community celebrate 17th May, and the kitchen serves Norwegian food. The college makes you feel very welcome and close to the other students."
