Single Masters Units
A New Way to do Your CPD
What is it?
Most healthcare professionals are required to do CPD but most do not want the pressure or commitment of embarking on a postgraduate degree programme such as an MSc.
NOW you can enrol on a range of Single Masters Units at the AECC, also known as 'pick 'n' mix', and accumulate M level credits at your own pace, 'cashing' these in at a later stage for a postgraduate award.
How does it work?
Enrol on your chosen unit - some have CPD seminars attached, some don't, and you can use almost any CPD short course you attend or any or CPD activity you take part in. You will then be invited to attend one of the quarterly induction seminars at the AECC, where you will learn about how to do the M Level assignment and how to use the free-to-access resources that will help you throughout the unit. You will have six months to complete and submit the assignments, and if you are successful you will receive 20 M Level credits.
Once you have completed your unit and you are ready to go on, you can choose another from the wide selection, designing your own programme and working at your own pace. Once you have enough credits, you can 'cash' these in for a PgCert, or you can continue to work towards a PgDip or MSc (see below for credit requirements).
PgCert 60 M level credits
PgDip 120 M level credits
MSc 180 M level credits
Many of the units can later be applied to the MSc Advanced Professional Practice programmes. If you have a specific programme in mind please consider this when selecting individual units to ensure they fit into the MSc Advanced Professional Practice programme.
You could also cash in your credits for our new PgCert, PgDip or MSc Professional Development (Health), which is designed to recognise a practitioner's investment in continuing professional development.
Please note: Each unit is individually priced and does not include the price of the CPD seminar.
