Emily began working at AECC University College in April 2016 and works full time as the Master of Chiropractic with Gateway Year - MChiro (Hons) Course Leader and Clinical Science Lecturer.

Biography

Emily first qualified as a healthcare practitioner in 1994 as a massage therapist. She continued to develop her skills as a remedial and sports massage therapist, working in health clubs in Wimbledon and Kingston whilst developing a successful private patient practice. Emily was inspired to become a chiropractor whilst working for a chiropractor in South Kensington. She began her studies at the AECC University College in 2004. She took a sabbatical to live and work as a massage therapist in Australia for one year before returning to complete her studies. Emily graduated from the AECC University College in 2010 qualifying with a MChiro Merit qualification. She continued to study and gained a PGCert in Advanced Professional Practice. After working as a chiropractor in Warwick, Emily returned to Bournemouth to run her own practice until deciding to become a full-time mother. She has two children.

Current Activity

Emily began working at the AECC University College in April 2016 and works full time as the Master of Chiropractic with Gateway Year – MChiro (Hons) Course Leader and Clinical Science Lecturer.

In December 2020, Emily qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), which is a healthcare professional who specialises in the clinical management of breastfeeding. The IBCLE title is a valued worldwide qualification, ensuring the highest standards of care in lactation and breastfeeding care for the mother and baby.

Emily is currently working towards her MSc in Advanced Professional Practice in Paediatrics, which she will complete in 2021.

Areas of Interest

Areas of interest include breastfeeding clinic and paediatric chiropractic.
